What PSU do I need to convert Video files to HD quality

I have installed Sothink HD Movie maker and Freemake converter. Both are able to convert and burn DVD disc but when I try to convert and burn to HD or Bluray disc the system freezes and on Sothink I get the BSOD. I have installed HW monitor to check if the system is over heating but that seems to be fine. I have read that it could be that my PSU is not sufficient. Does anyone know what size PSU I should be using for these programmes to run sucessfully?? Jan X

Windows 7 HP 64-bit
AMD A8-3870 2.8 Ghz Quad core 8gb

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply. I have actually taken the PC back to where I had it built to see if they can help. When it comes back and if the problem still arises I will forward details as requested. Thanks again for looking at my post. Jan X
