I was just looking for some advise for buying a new gaming pc (do's and don'ts)

I will be mainly playing games on the pc and a bit of word and excel for work.

I'm looking to spend no more than £1000.

So far I've found this which looks like a good deal.

http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/-b-NEW-b-Bioshock-AMD-X8-8350-94p1642.htm

I was thinking about upgrading the RAM and maybe putting a SSD drive in.

Are dino pc a good company to buy from?

Is AMD cheaper for a reason, or should i go intel and nvidea graphics card?

Any recommendations would be great

Also is it worth adding a SSD drive to install the games on.

I will be playing battlefield 3, arma 3 and probably a bit of minecraft.

Thanks

Your link isn't working.

AMD is cheaper because in recent years at the higher end of the spectrum (say i5s or better) Intel has been crushing AMD as far as gaming performance is concerned. For lower end systems though, AMD are a good choice since their quad/hexa core offerings are very cheap.

I think an SSD would be a very good option for a £1000 build. They aren't very hard at all to install though, so if it's cheaper you might want to just buy one separately (literally just plugging two cables in).

I've never dealt with DinoPC myself.

What about graphics cards, is nvidea better than amd for the most part?
