12gb of 1333 or 8gb of 1600? Or something...

Hello forum!
I need some advice on my ram. I currently have two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148514
They are as follows:

DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Timing 8-8-8-24
Cas Latency 8
Voltage 1.5V

And I am looking to combine them with two 2GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 1.6v modules.

So in short, is this plausible? Do I have to raise the timings on my Ballistix ram? Maybe lower the timings and frequencies to get them to work? I am hoping to get 12gb of ram, because the Corsair sticks have been laying around and I want to use them! I mostly use my system for gaming, video editing, and web browsing. Any help or opinions are appreciated!

My system:

Intel 3570k 4.2GHz
8gb Ballistix Tactical Tracer's at 1600MHz
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H
Nvidia Galaxy 660ti 3GB
500gb main drive
1 Terabyte of storage
200gb hackintosh
750w Rosewill PSU.

I will recommend set the RAM setting to the auto first to see they work well together or not, then set the RAM in 8-8-8-24. You can try OC the RAM to 8-8-8-24. But I think the Corsair XMS3 is not than good RAM sometime it will act a little bit picky.

Really, the 4 extra isn't going to add much. There was a guy I was just helping that had 32Gb of RAM and his 3D program only used 6Gb of it. I would say it would be better to stay on the safe side of RAM stability and just go with the 8Gb.
