[HELP] Can i use my old Hard drive 650gb Sata to my new build computer?

is there going to be an issue if im going to use my old Hard Drive with OS Windows7 Home Premium 64bit already installed to build my new computer?
my old pc is Aspire AX3400 B2001 (AMD Athlon II x2 240)
And im planning to build this computer

Do you want to keep the existing data? I would recommend reformatting the drive and reinstalling the OS to circumvent any issues with the registry and drivers. Other than that, you should be able to use the existing drive.

i dont really care about my old data but how do i reformat my old Hard drive? will it automatically reformat when i boot my new build pc? or do i have to do something complicated ?

so what im gonna do is plug the HDD and Install the OS even though theres a files in it and it will automatically erase old data from my old hd? sorry im new in building a pc i dont quit understand about these things
 
Plug everything in , start the computer and go in to the BIOS .


You need to set the dvd drive as the first boot device
Put the windows dvd in the drive and restart using the power or rest button

The BIOS will boot from the windows DVD and then you follow the prompts .
It will erase and format the old hard drive
