Does a CPU make a big change in FPS in non-CPU-intensive games? Tags: Games CPUs FPS Last response: March 16, 2013 12:44 PM in CPUs Share Anonymous March 16, 2013 12:04:38 PM I know that in games like Planetside 2, CPU will make a big difference in your FPS. How about games that are more GPU intensive? Will there still be a difference? How big? CPU: i5-3550 GPU: Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition Mobo: MSi H77MA-G43 RAM: 8GB More about : cpu make big change fps cpu intensive games Reply to Anonymous retrophe March 16, 2013 12:44:36 PM It literally depends on the game. A faster CPU will have a positive impact, but that can range from a little to alot ( like Crysis3). The GPU is by far the biggest factor in fps.
