device to convert Wi-Fi signal into Ethernet connection?

Is there a device that can pick up a Wi-Fi signal and use it to provide an Ethernet connection for a device that lacks Wi-Fi capability? There is no Ethernet connectivity in the room that my device is in.

You need a wireless bridge. Another alternative, if you have a computer in that room that has a wireless adapter and an ethernet adapter is to bridge the connections between those two adapters, then you can plug your device in the computer's ethernet port. Note: you can re-purpose most, almost all cheap routers and WLAN access points into WLAN bridges by setting their mode to "bridge" or "client" in their settings. I have seen suitable old-generation APs retail for as little as 10 EUR (<15 USD).
