Is there a device that can pick up a Wi-Fi signal and use it to provide an Ethernet connection for a device that lacks Wi-Fi capability? There is no Ethernet connectivity in the room that my device is in.

Thanks!

You need a wireless bridge. Another alternative, if you have a computer in that room that has a wireless adapter and an ethernet adapter is to bridge the connections between those two adapters, then you can plug your device in the computer's ethernet port. For detailed information about this, go into help in windows and do a search on "bridge connections".

Note: you can re-purpose most, almost all cheap routers and WLAN access points into WLAN bridges by setting their mode to "bridge" or "client" in their settings. I have seen suitable old-generation APs retail for as little as 10 EUR (<15 USD).
