Change motherboard for gaming or not?

Ok guys. i really need some help here. i have a.
ECS A785GM-AD3 motherboard black series.

and the main question is should i change it? the main reason im asking this is because im building a gaming rig. im buying a AMD HD 7870. i currently have an AMD PHENOM II X6 Black series 1100t. I just dont know if i should buy a new motherboard because i know mine its a little old. im gonna overclock my processor too.

Also i really like Asus. Are the asus motherboards compatible with AMD videocards and processors?


BOTTON LINE: Should i change my motherboard for my new videocard and for overclocking of my processor?. if i should wich one should i buy? the limit in price its 80$.

Yea I would change it b/c that mobo only supports 95w TDP CPUs while the 1100t has a 125w TDP.

Yes all motherboards with a PCI-E slot can run a 7870. Just make sure you have a quality PSU that has 2 6-pin PCI-e power cables.

ohh ok. so maybe thats why my CPU gets overheated? it goes to 56celcius on IDLE! i should change the mobo right away then right? also i have a cooler master 500W PSU dont know what model is tough. its pretty good tough.

Try to find the exact model of the PSU.
