need advice/opinions on a $500-$550 gaming build

Ok, im under a very tight budget limit, dont need some things as i already have them but as is here is what im thinking so far
MoBO: BIOSTAR TA970 AM3+
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
GPU: HIS IceQ X Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)
PSU: APEVIA ATX-CB700W 700W
this build is currently @ $493
dont need case, HDD, or optical drive

nice build :D , if you want to cheap out, get 7850 1GB version and 2x 4GB ram. use the saving for a 128GB SSD< that would be a real life performance improvement

went with that GPU because atm its in a combo deal with the RAM, dropped my price from the 1gb version i had selected from 520 to the current 493
that and i have a 10k rpm 1tb drive that hits 7.8 on the windows experience

Do you need an operating system? Also, you may want to cut back on the memory. 8GB should be enough :) 

And, please, rethink the PSU. Get a Corsair, Antec, Seasonic...anything but an Apevia one.

OS is fine, I have a win7 64bit ultimate ive been saving, and any ideas for 700watts for 40 bucks would help

I agree with AMD Radeon. You DO NOT want to skimp on a power supply, as you run the risk of taking your whole system with it.
