M5A97 EVO R2.0 - RAM choices?

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to use the ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0 for a FX-8320 overclock build but have noticed that the memory support list is a bit scant when it comes to 16Gb 1866 kits.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what would be suitable for this board?

I know the lists aren't intended to be exhaustive, merely what has been tested, but I am on a budget and cannot afford to be buying multiple sets of memory.

Going down to 8Gb isn't really an option either as I am using 'R' scripts that write to memory and my data sets are pretty huge.

I can't imagine why any good quality RAM wouldn't work for you. I've built many a PC and never had an issue with RAM as long as I bought good stuff and stayed within the MB specs for voltage and MHZ. Brands never mattered; Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston...
