Dell XP blue screens on bootup

Dell XP Home: Have a full disk except for 517MB free. Will a 120gb hdd boot with less than 1gb free?

You might want to defrag and delete some files. The OS needs a little wiggle room to move around it. It should work but things will be slow as far as searching files, opening programs. etc.......
