Is a nvidia 550ti a good choice for a budget media center pc?

Hi,
i posted a couple of days ago asking about a processor and i got a quick response, in that question i said i was going to get a 660 however my budget has now dropped a lot. I would like to have an nvidia card because i have only ever had ati but want to give nvidia a try, so would a 550ti be good enough for 720p gaming and bluray playback with a i5 3350p in an itx form factor build?

Any responses appreciated, thanks in advance Jonny

It's an older card but will do fine. The new replacement is the GTX 650/650 Ti. You might even want to consider a GT 640. Only get the GT 640 if you are not gaming. Even then you should still be able to get a 650 Ti for around 120 Canadian dollars.
