Hello

Is there any data available about power consumption of embedded processors like ARM Cortex A processors? How can I find power consumption of a core while I do not have its board / hardware?

Regards
Naeem

Unfortunately, such information is not readily available. However, according to the following PDF file "Evaluation of the Energy Efficiency of
ARM Based Processors for Cloud Infrastructure", the bottom of page 8 states that the quad core Cortex-A9 ARM processor consumes 1.2w based on the tests.

Yes, you are right, and that is why I have asked this question. I have read many papers which estimates / models the power consumption of a certain processor, but I believe to do this either you need to know the architecture fully or you have to have the Hardware SoC of that processor. In my case I have neither of them and task given to me is to find out the power consumption of advanced arm core :'( so I am bit stressed and tensed; no way ahead
