I've started looking into building my own gaming computer as it is cheaper than buying a pre-built one (am i right?) but I have no idea how to go about finding which parts to buy, my budget would be around the £1500 at the most but if I would be able to get quite high-end parts for cheaper than this that would be great. I don't know much about this area but I know that a good power supply is key if I want to upgrade at some point which I most likely will and a motherboard that could support SLI would be preferred aswell so if anyone could suggest some parts to get that would be great, thanks.

This MoBo supports both CF and SLI. 750W is plenty for future SLI and upgrades + OC.

Well, not the way I would do it and I don't really advise spending so much on parts that won't carry over to the next build so well.
