I currently have a GIGABYTE Ghz Edition 7970 3gb in my system, and I want to overclock because I have 4 case fans that individually have 90+ CFM, so I want to overclock my graphics card, now, when i use the AMD VISION Engine Control Center, I overclock the card, but when I play games when its clocked at that, the game crashes, giving the display driver recovered error.

Clock: 1100 Mhz
Mem Clock: 1500 Mhz

What should I do?

this is most likely because you don't provide your card with enough voltage.
try using: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm
to increase the voltage going to your gpu core and memory.

if this doesn't work, downsample core and memory clock for 50MHz. if you still get a crash, downsample again but this time with 25MHz. repeat this untill your games don't crash anymore.

hope this helps :)
