New build:

Asus P9X79 MB
Intel I7 3820 CPU @ 3.6Ghz
EVGA GTX660 2Gb Video
Mushkin Blackline 32 Gb (4 x 8Gb) PC3 14900 Memory
Samsung SSD 840 128Gb HD
SilverStone ST1000-P PSU

This is not really a problem, it's more of an annoyance. After solving my power supply problem I now have the situation where the computer will not start with one push of the power button. If I push the power button it will start for about 2 seconds then stop. I have to push the power button 2-3 more times before it will begin to boot. Then it's fine. This has happened in 2 different cases with 2 different power buttons. Will a BIOS update address this? With all the ATX boards I've encountered over the years I've never seen one act like this. Thanks in advance.

A few things you can try to debug (in order)

1) Set the XMP profile for the kit if you have not already.

2) If one does not work, power down the system and run it with 1 or two modules only for a couple of days (again with XMP applied). See if the power up symptoms change somewhat. If they do, then we're possibly looking at needing to relax some memory timings and change some voltages.

3) Might also be worth reovming onboard peripherals to debug if any of those are affecting start up. I suspect it's memory related, though.

I went into the BIOS to see about the XMP profile after googling it as the manual does not really explain it. There was not one so I activated a profile in Advanced. That did it. It now starts normally. Thanks very much. I was unaware of this and how it affects operation. It should be mentioned more prominently.
