ok, i started working on my newest build idea about a month ago. my initial budget was 800 but i've trimmed it down to around 550-600. i finally have it where i want it for now, i would appreciate some input in regards to making sure everything is compatible and such. thanks in advance, here's the build:

• Case
Rosewill REDBONE u3 Mid-Tower
• CPU
AMD Phenom II 965 BE 140W (i would prefer the 125w but such is life)
• Motherboard
ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AMD 970 & SB950 ATX DDR3 800
• Graphics Card
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition OC 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16
• RAM
Mushkin Radioactive 997005 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600MHz Desktop RAM
• HDD
Western Digital WD Blue WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
• DVD
ASUS 24X DVD Burner
• Power Supply
XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91
• Monitor
ASUS VS Series VS238H-P

before you all point out the obvious, i know the cpu (being older) is gonna bottleneck the gpu, i'm buying one that's already overclocked as much as could be but there will still be bottleneck. in a couple months when i have the money i'm going to be upgrading the cpu and mobo to intel, probably and i5-3570k and a z77 board, getting a cooler, and overclocking like a mofo. until that time, this will be fine. thanks in advance for any input guys

I like you're build, I don't think you're CPU is the best though!

- You're CPU can handle the 7870 okay, but under high graphic intense games it will Bottleneck for sure!

- You might want to upgrade you're PSU to something alittle bigger for upgrades in the future and just to be more safe.

- Here's a good CPU that will run with the 7870 fine, its only like 40 bucks more.

I'm sure you can get it cheaper somewhere else.

- Best of luck :D  ~ Raymond.

do you think a 650w would be better? also, in regards to the cpu, the only reason i'm going with the phenom ii 965be is because i can get it with the mobo for 100 in total which is a great deal, that's why i'm definitely going to be upgrading within a few months. thanks for the input
