Working on the wifes computer more and more recently. It was giving her blue screens and black screens and freezing but i managed to fix all that. however I did have to uninstall her wireless adapter from device manager. The computer never reinstalled it automatically and i have tried everything i can to get it to work again. her wireless switch stays orange no matter what position it is in and the only network adapter that shows up is her ethernet 10/100.
I know i need to repaste and clean out her laptop. her cpu runs at a max of 80 and her vga runs at about 70-80 no games. she isnt a gamer.
Also her computer was running slowly but it has speed up a bit since i have been poking around. I ran maleware, av, rootkit, and the works. Ive download every driver i can find on the web and installed it.
The hard drive makes a high pitch sound when its not being accessed and low pitch when it access it. not sure if this is normal or not.
Any help on these would be appreciated. thank you.
