Is it a good idea to buy used gaming headsets?

So I have a person selling some steelseries siberia v2 headphones:

Its 2 months old and he's selling it for 60. Now I won't be needing the usb soundcard, so that should knock down some value? But overall, is it a good idea? I do need some headphones but I want to know from everyone if its a good idea.

With any used product your taking a risk. 60 dollars isn't a while lot to some people, but a lot to others. If they are in good condition and work, then it's an okay idea. You may not have a warranty though on a used product from someone else too.
