i just recently build my first PC and i didn't consider buying a Different Heat-sink just to save some money on the build cost and i didn't know how good the stock heat-sink/fan was , but after awhile i noticed that its does get quite loud.

can anyone give me some Recommendations on a quiet heatsink?
also looking into getting some additional 120mm fans for the case, which i would also like to have them silent.

CPU - amd phenom ii x4 965
MB - asus M5A78L-M

Coolermaster Hyper 212 if willing to remove motherboard and its factory heatsink hardware to install the heatsink. A hyper T4 would allow you to mount the cooler just like the stock cooler and wouldn't require removal of the motherboard.

i think i will go with the Hyper 212 evo.
only problem i have is that my ram has high heatsinks and i am unsure if there is enough clearance, is it possible to mount the fan on the other side to pull the air through the heatsink instead of pulling it through?

Be sure your case is deep enough for the 212 EVO. My 212 EVO extends just shy of the case cover on my 8" wide Corsair C70 case. I have the TX-3 on another PC. It does a good job of cooling too. And it sits a bit taller to clear high profile RAM sticks. Best of all, you just snap it on like the stock cooler.

I agree with the TX3 being a nice cooler as well. I used one for a build I did for a friend not all that long ago. We used it on a 3570k that we clocked to 4.0 like mine.

i have already ordered the Hyper 212 evo. =/
i have a coolermaster elite 430 case which i believe has a 163mm clearance so there should be room, but if i run into any problems i'll return it for the hyper tx3 evo which i think has 130mm instead of the 158mm for the hyper 212

As I have the same CPU as you, I can confirm the stock heatsink was horrible, I ended up upgrading to the Tx3 (only because the Hyper212 wouldn't fit in my case).

It might not perform as great as the 212, but it still does much better than the stock heatsink.
