i3 vs AMD FX Series

Should I get an i3 for gaming or an AMD FX 4300? I was looking at some benchmarks and it looks like the i3 3220 beats the AMD quite a bit. I was thinking about getting the i3 3220. Would it be good for games like BF3 and ArmA? Would it bottleneck my GPU (GTX 560)?

Go FX-6300 instead...it blows the i3 away...and turbo core can ramp it up to 3.8 GHz without OC

According to these benchmarks the 4300 beat that i3. I think they would both be good for BF3, it's more dependent on the graphics card than the CPU.

i3 certainly looks fine for that GTX 560

The FX-6300 for $119 is ALOT more CPU.

Or I could go get a second hand Sandy Bridge i5 from eBay. If I cant find a decent one on there, ill get an fx-6300
