I am thinking of building a gaming but not overclocked PC on the z77 platform

My computer broke, and I am going to have to build the PC before I can buy a graphics card. I would rather buy a graphics card in the fall when the next gen video cards may be established. What would be the best components to buy?

I was going to go haswell, but I don't mind Ivy Bridge. Especially considering that I wait more than 2 years to build a computer, and there will probably be another socket out by then anyway. Plus I need a desktop computer within the next 3 weeks

I already have
HAF 912 Case
Seasonic X Series 850w

I want to build up my computer for some video editing so will probably want 16 gig of ram, don't care about SSD's, I just want to work on Intel 4000 until the Fall. So will it be better to buy some really fast ram if I am going to run off of 4000 for a few months?

Thanks
