Radeon 6790 and 7850 giving same FPS

Been trying for days to get my new Radeon 7850 1gb to perform well.
Getting an average of 15fps on WOW and 20 on the new hitman game. Ultra graphics

I'm not bottlenecking. AMD vision center says I'm only using 18% of my GPU/CPU when using the 7850 and 32%/46% GPU/CPU when using 6790. WTF wont it push to 100%... anyways.

my main complaint is the lack of FPS difference between the two GPU's I keep reading how people are getting 100 fps on ultra for wow. I just want my wife to have a good gaming machine...

I've done a clean uninstall of the drivers and started from scratch. any thoughts... is it just a bad GPU?

how is your temp? brand/model of psu? pc specs pls. have you tried other games? try benchmarks also

Temp runs at 32-40c. Couldn't find a benchmark that was free but the benchmarks of others i saw showed the 7850 nearly twice as powerful as the 6790. Tried Starcraft 2 as well. same. Going to buy a Nvidia card once bestbuy opens.

edit also check with GPU-Z that the card is running with correct clocks etc
