I bought a Netgear Wireless N-300 USB adapter to use with my desktop because it's one floor up from the router. The problem is, while using it, it would randomly drop signal even though it has a full 5 bars. When it does lose connection, my laptop would also lose connection at the same time. If my desktop isn't on and I'm just using my laptop with no wireless adapter, the internet is just fine. I found that the little blue light on it would go out when the internet drops, as if it turns off. So I disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", however that didn't solve the problem. Tried reinstalling from the CD, same problem. Can anyone please help me?
