BIOS update FX-4170

I shall be receiving my ASRock 970 Extreme3 soon. Just wondering about BIOS update. Will the Extreme3 support the FX-4170 out of the box?

Even if out of the box works just fine... is it still advisable to update the BIOS to the latest version? Or do the risks outweigh the benefits? Power cuts are extremely frequent where I am, I'm afraid of bricking my board...

It is supported without a BIOS update:

I would not update the BIOS if the system runs without issues.
