Upgrade the 470?

Should I upgrade my 470 now? or will it be more beneficial if I wait for the next generation?

Seems like what everyone wants is Maxwell, and that is a long time away...

If u want to upgrade now go for HD7950 or GTX670 both are future proof.
You will able to play modern games on high and ultra settings with ease..
