Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X vs EVGA 670 Ftw

My friend is trying to decide between the two, this is basically what I told him.

- At stock speeds the 670 is 5%-10% faster than the 7950. If you were too overclock them then the 7950 would out-overclock the 670.

- IMO Nvidia has better drivers(not to say AMDs are bad)

- The 7950 is cheaper, and imo the bundled games are better, if you're OCing get the 7950, if not get the 670.

What do you all think?

I'm thinking what your thinking, radeon 7950 does better in tons of games and with its OC performance it couldn't lose to a gtx 670. But tell your friend to get a good cpu so he won't bottleneck it.

He has that 8 core amd 8350 cpu or whatever it's called. He assumed since it's 8 cores it's faster than any 4 core intel processor.

Don't worry then, i did a little research and it turns out that i may have found a model of a gtx 660 that when OC'ed out performs the 7950, for 400$ there are plenty of better cards i would look in to the galaxy series for a gtx 670. But in this case you get a free crysis 3 game XD
