Will my CPU bottleneck my GPU?

Hey guys. I wanted to know if my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU
My specs:
Athlon 2 x4 630 3.3GHz
Gigabyte GTX 560Ti
3GB ram

It may be, depending on the game and the settings you play at. The Athlon CPU's have no L3 cache which does impact gaming performance in some cases.

You say your 630 runs at 3.3GHz. I assume this means you've overclocked it a bit?

are you experiencing any bottlenecks or are you asking if it will in which case you should specify which particular game you are interested in. I agree with Koos. Lack of l3 cache can impact gaming performance by as much as 20% but not as much and equally in all games.

remember, 80% of the time, bottleneck is more psychological than real .

Yes, thats a slow CPU and the 560 Ti is quite good.

Hmm, so i guess i have to buy a new CPU then. And yes i've OC'ed i from 2.8 to 3.3GHz. can you tell me whats better to buy: a good Phenom 2 X II and unlock the third or the fourth core, or the Phenom 2 X4. i have bought the Athlon 630, because it was cheap, solid 4 core CPU, and im not in a good situation with the money.

Ive got a i5 2500k clocked @ 4.5Ghz and I have a 560Ti also and its great, so can recommend the i5.

Yeeah, i was thinking about that, but im short on money now ;/ is there a good not expensive Mobo that runs Intel CPU's?

Keep an eye out for Z68 mobos on ebay, theres a few ending in the next few days that you might be able to get for cheap. bear in mind youll need DDR3 Ram if you are using DDR2.

yeah im on DDR2 but the RAM isn't expensive so I'll buy 2x2GB soon.

go with a cheap B75 or H61 mobo along with an intel i5-3470. would be a big improvement over your current cpu.

not even close to that i5 set up but a damn fast processor and a decent upgrade.
BF3 will surely see improvement.
