You have pretty good parts. I'd say just get a better gfx card and get a SSD and get windows 7!!
everything else should be fine. and as for your gtx card, just put it into your 2nd pci-e slot if you have one, and use as an external monitor for different uses. No need to SLI it cause it usually causes problems if not set up right.
i have a ssd and wanna try windows 8 but i don't think i need a better graphics card because i'm not going to be like playing crysis 3 ultra everything and like exploding my computer
and i don't get " for your gtx card, just put it into your 2nd pci-e slot if you have one, and use as an external monitor for different uses." whats the difference between using the 1st pci-3 16x slot?
If you're not going to be using it for gaming then your build is fine. I was just suggesting to get another graphics card and and have a dual gfx card set up, not particularly sli or crossfire, but just to be able to run more monitors if you'd like. other then that then you'll be fine with what you chose.
i will be gaming but it isn't the games arnt very demanding. games like tf2 and dota 2
and whats the point of having dual graphics card without sli (besides having more monitors)
Edit:
i did a bit of research and am i right to say that getting 2 graphics is to get a primary and secondary graphics card but i'm not even sure what that does. I read something about Physx too does that increase your fps by decreasing the load of work on the cpu?
and do the gfx cards have to be the same if i am running dual gfx cards sli or not
1 more thing can you suggest a card?
would a geforce gt 630 be sufficient? (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_876&products_id=22459)
Yes the GT 630 will do with moderate gaming like tf2. A bit laggy for games like Battlefield 3.
and as for the dual gfx cards. Without crossfire or sli it is used to run dual monitors with it's own gfx cards, acting on its own per screen, but with the xfire or sli you would need to research which cards are compatible for it.
For example not all radeons with xfire capabilities can run with each other. and if you do, it's true it'll put on less load, for example physx, but note that if one graphics card is higher in speeds it will try to match with the slower card, to be able to work together. so it WILL slow down for the slower card. so it's best to get the same cards, or get one GOOD card.
Xfire and sli has been known to cause a lot of problems, and not all games can support xfire, and when new games come out drivers to be able to support xfire/sli come a bit later.
