I have a very old gaming rig that I would like to upgrade because of poor quality running game Guild Wars 2. I have at the moment:
CPU: Intel Dual Core 5200
GPU: Gigabyte 9600 GT
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Mobo: Asus P5KPL/1600
PSU: NOX Urano 500W
I have made two possible upgrading alternatives, keeping my GPU for later upgrade. I would like to have USB3 and SATA 6Gbs. Both upgrading alternatives cost almost the same. I would like to know their stregths and weaknesses before choosing one of them.
- Intel upgrade:
CPU: Intel i5 3350P
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2x4GB CL9
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V
PSU: Corsair CX500 v2
- AMD upgrade:
CPU: AMD FX Series FX-8120
Mobo: Asus M5A78L/USB3 AM3+
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2x4GB CL9
