Hey all!

Hope people are enjoying the new expansion, I myself have not picked it up yet, but in preparation for getting it I am in the market for a new keyboard. Cheaper the better, just looking for a decent keyboard for gaming.

I'm looking for something preferably illuminated, NOT mechanical(used them, not a fan), and under $60 macro a plus as well as either blue or green illumination(have a razer naga mouse haha).

I am currently using my lenovo laptop and I like the chiclet/low profile design, however this is not a requirement.

Some of the keyboards I've been looking at are the...

Any opinions on those, or other suggestions?

What expansion? Well since i got a mechanical Keyboard i went into a slump for 1 week. 3 weeks later (as of today) I am kicking ass, so mechanical for me only from now on. In fact i got 2 mechanical from diferent types of games :D.

Haha whoops, was going to post this on the starcraft 2 forums but decided to post it on here instead to get some better answers.

So the expansion would be heart of the swarm.

The main reason I didn't like mechanicals is that they seemed pretty loud, not to mention the prices on them.

Are there decent mecanhicald that aren't really clicky that fit my criteriaie backlit, macro, etc(could maybe increase budget to ~$80 to accommodate for mechanical). Are they really that much better than a decent dome?

Well, they are far better, but it takes some time to get used to. The clicky part will vary depending on the switches. Blue switches are the loudest. Then red and least id say are black.
Domes arent actually "bad" but their performace degrade much faster. Thats why you can tell in an instant if a Dome keybaord is new or not.

Unfortunatelly its impossible to give a clear advice on the subject as it is fairly subjective.
Unfortunatelly, the only keyboard that has macro keys and backlit that i know of is quite expensive (corsair K90) since blackwidow is very loud (blue switches).

If anything, just go for the domes
