So I posted a thread about a build I had planned for my new gaming pc and got alot of great feedback

my original specs were:

i5-3570K CPU £170

Gigabyte H77N-WIFI Motherboard £80

Kingston KHX1600C9D3LK2/8GX 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 £40

Corsair TX650V2 Enthusiast Series 650W £70

Samsung 24x SATA DVD Writer £15

SilverStone SST-NT07-1156 36.5mm Nitrogon CPU Cooler £25

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card £160

BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX case £65

Windows 8 £65

Alot of negative feedback towards the case was given... and some positive

Also it was brought up that the motherboard i picked cannot overclock so thats a negative

Does anyone have any recommendations to what I could swap theese components out for that either save money or provide an overall improvement to the build

Also would it be worth not getting that gtx 660 and getting a radeon 7950

I have no real preference its just that some guides I have referred too have used the mini ITX so I have an idea of what goes where... I don't really care what it looks like, performance is a priority.

Thanks alot mate! So would you say this is a mid-range gaming pc?... right now I would class my current pc as a sort of a low end/entry level gaming pc...so I'm building this with the intent of going to the mid-range level. Cheers

I would say its high end but on a budget. There are no better CPUs for gaming that are not a waste of money and the GPU is only bettered by the 670 680 7970 & Titan but if you wanted high high end getting 2 GPUs is recommended. You may want to spend £20-30 on a motherboard thats supports 2 cards at a good speed for future upgrades and I selected the RAM almost at random so you can likely get a better deal. You can choose any case you want again I selected it almost at Random. Also check Arias site as I think they have better deals on GPUs than that one that are not on parts picker.

The thing on your first post, you got a motherboard that doesn't offer overclocking, while you're getting an unlocked CPU with aftermarket cooler...?

follow what simon posted, it's a well rounded list.
