Hi Everyone,

Today I installed new 64GB Crucial SSD and another 1TB WD HDD 7200rpm as a secondary into my machine.

Board: Asus M4A89GTD-PRO
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 Black 1090T
GPU: Geforce 480GTX
RAM: Corsair DDR3 10GB

So I had fresh windows 7 x64 installation onto my SSD drive and left another as a seconday disk.

I set them to AHCI in Bios but I am getting slow performance. Here is what I am getting:

(C:) SSD Drive

(G:) WD Hard Drive

This looks ok?

Thanks

Yes it's SATAII I suppose.

64GB Crucial v4 SSD
2.5" SATA 3Gb/s

Also all the programs running slower than before. I am trying to install MS Office 2007 now, I unchecked pretty much everything, just Word & Excel was left to be installed, and it's now running for 20 minutes and still at about 65% where it should take only 3-5 minutes to install it.

I have my SSD drive connected to SATA1, DVD-ROM to SATAII and WD HDD to SATAIII port.

You got that all wrong if you were refering to sata types.
Sata1/150mbs - DVD
Sata2/300mbs - HDD
Sata3/600mbs - SSD

If you were referring to sata ports then you want the dvd on the highest and slowest port you have and the ssd on the lowest numbered fastest port you have (sata3_0 typically)
