Power switch pins burned

Roommate used fdd power connector to turn my shoebox pc on connecting its 12V line to PWRBTN pin on motherboard. Now mobo wont turn on. Checked with another PSU, cmos reseted. Is there any way to fix this issue or my mobo is permenently dead?

It might be. You can try forcing the PSU to start, but there's a risk to damage the power supply too.
By shorting the green and black wires of the 24 pin connector: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FWXgQSokF4
but having the 24-pin connected to the motherboard.
Not sure it would solve the issue and if there's a short on the board's circuits, it can short the power supply too. On your own risk.
