My local microcenter has the 8320 for $149.99 and the 8350 for $169.99. I was wondering if the 8350 was worth the extra $20.
The rest of the build has a xfx 7870 2gb OC and 8 Gbs Corsair 1600mhz Dominator if that matters.

The OP's build includes a Radeon 7870 WITH an FX8320/8350...he would have to go to a 7950 to do better...7870 +/- = GTX 670. Radeon 7870>GTX 660Ti

ok do and think as we wish, that is what i'll do --'
i read a bit more, and all say " the gtx660ti is way to strong to be compared to the 7870" but "if you pretend to overclock, the 7870 will overcome the 660ti"

For the price the 7870 is a much better buy than a 660 ti considering the cards are very equal and the 7870 is cheaper. This is a budget build and it is the best for my money.

Consider your sources...mine are real world applications using high end popular games...are you ever likely to use a cinema benchmark program? Probably not...will you play BF3? Crysis 3? Probably...

I could care less about movies/etc. I want to know which one gives me the maximum stable frame rate on my favorite games.

Not only this, but if I am going to spend $300 on a GPU I would get a 7950 which outperforms a 660 ti on every game.

For the graphic cards I always go for AMD, reason for why is a bit old story. I used to have two P4 systems with same build exept for the graphics. One had a ATI other had an nvidia. As I remember nVidia card was the best of its line like a geForce 4 ti(not the MX). And the graphic quality, not the frame rates, was alot more better in ATI card in Morrowind. With the ATI card, all the details on the carpets and the cloak, armor you wear were visible while nVidia shows them as if they were blurred. Seeing this I removed the nVidia card and replaced it with an ATI, since then I have been buying ATI-AMD. I haven't cheked it with never cards. Way back all the test magazines were praising ATI for graphics quality while nVidias was getting prases for being faster. And all the graphic guys around was using ATI
