Hello, I'm currently using a 700w Thermaltake PSU but it's basically done. I've upgraded everything in my PC but the PSU so I'm wondering if a 500w Corsair be enough to run this set up:

7950 ICEQ Turbo
I5-3570
2 Case fans
B75M motherboard

I can get a 600w PSU from the same line for about £10 more so I'm just wondering if it would be worth while to save money.

More about : 500w psu

Yes, a decent psu with 500W, and since a decent one will have more than 30A on the +12v rail, the corsair cx 500W has 38A on it, so it's fine, you can also check here for psu requirements : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

That being said, i would get the xfx 550 core edition, if the price ain't much more than the CX500, it's a better psu, made by seasonic(with 5 years of warranty), since you're from the uk, you can find it here with free shipping : http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupp...

It's a trusted website for buying the components.

The difference is 3£ so it would be a good alternative, thank you!
