new win7 install on samsung 840 pro

i get to the windows 7 screen on fresh install, but no mouse or keyboard function. They are both lit, so they have power,but i am unable to do anything else.

Both are functioning in BIOS.

If you have an HDD alongside with the SSD, then disconnect the HDD cables, leaving just the SSD connected.

yes all cables are disconnected

It may appear a bit silly, but, when you power it, and get the windows 7 screen on fresh install, try to disconnect both mouse and keyboard, then connect them again.

tried that at the beginning, but still didn't work. moved them to another usb slot and bingo. Go figure........
