Hello everyone,I have this doubt about power supply units,I have to make a choice, and here they are:
1)Cooler Master Thunder 450 Watt PSU
2)Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU
So,which one is better?

Both are made by cwt, if it's the old vs450 model it will be the same as the thunder 450, both can only deliver 30A on the +12v rail and they don't got any 80 plus certification, if it's the new vs450, get the vs450, since it has more amps(34A) on the +12v rail.
I recommend though, if you can find a better psu for about the same price, look for the seasonic models, xfx, antec, fsp, pc power and cooling among others.

If you are sticky to your budget then Cooler Master Thunder 450W 450 Watts PSU is best fit for you.
Otherwise I would have suggested you after knowing your complete system specification.

That will be worse, i wouldn't get that psu, i recommend the seasonic one, it doesn't seem too much, i don't now if Rs. 134 over is too much for you, but it pays off, if not get the corsair vs450, also what's the system specs that the psu will be used in ?

A decent 400W psu will do, i recommend getting the Seasonic SS400BT, what matters is the quality of it, since you intend to get a new psu don't cheap out on one, though, the corsair VS450 or thunder will also meet the requirements, you get a much better psu with good levels of efficiency and it's a good brand.
If you still don't want to spend more, get the corsair vs450, since it appears to be the new model(looking for the parts number).
But bottom line is get the seasonic if possible.

User reviews don't mean a thing, you can find crappy psus in american or other country websites with good ratings, always look for the specs(amps on the +12v rail, if it was from a good maker), reviews, etc.
If it's the recent corsair VS450 it has 34A on the +12v rail : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page447.htm
The cm thunder 450 has 360W on the +12v rail, which means 30A : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page364.htm

More information to the op : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

The seasonic is a better unit, and it will be money well spent.

Check the Power issues for the both in the comparison. When it is about Power Supply Unit, you need to ensure the safe side from power issue, since you are in India(where power is not constant with anything).

I am using Cooler Master PSU & Case since 2003 and having no issue. You can consider Cooler Master with no hassle.

Did you checked the realhardtechx links : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page447.htm
And http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page364.htm
Look for the models and you see what i said above in the other posts.

The recent corsair VS450 has more amps on the +12v rail, cooler master isn't that good, if you'd seen some of the cm extreme units, those are/were terrible and with fake wattage.
It's a pity that you can't get the seasonic with 80 plus bronze certification and it's a much more quality unit, just for a few rs more.
1º Seasonic if possible, try it, or the corsair VS450.

Wait. Think twice before you get missleaded by redhardtechx.

Do redhardtecx mention anything about your Cooler Master Thunder 450?????????????????????????

Also, while Cooler Master Thunder 450 is having 2 x 12V Power Rail , the Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU is having only 1 x 12V Power Rail.

Then why this wrong conception?

Mine?I do not own a cooler master,I have a local one Zebronics...

Because the two rails don't add up to the total predicted(20A and 18A it's not 38A),it's in fact 360W and that's 30A on the +12v rail : http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=es&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.coolermaster.com.cn/RS-450-acab.asp

Why go with an inferior unit ? Get the Corsair VS450, with a single rail with 34A on the +12v rail and a more recent unit, but i still recommend the seasonic, much better than those two, i would spend more on it.
