Scripts On Main Page Crippling PC

View site from work using IE8, yes old but have apps that need it. But the scrips just kill the PC with high CPU usage and when I get the option to stop the scripts, which are related to the adverts, PC and site is usable again.

Is it just high CPU usage you are seeing, or are there any errors? And the only time you are having this issue is specifically in IE8? Could it be an issue with the apps you mentioned?

Sorry IE7 and its the adverts on the left of the page that causes CPU to spike and system will sit there until IE7 gives up and asks to stop the script or whatever it is running or I end IE7 process.
