Graphics card for 2560x1440 display and casual gaming ?

Hi guys,

i'm upgrading my monitor to a 27", 2560x1440 display (probably a Dell U2711 or an Asus PB278Q)...i also consider keeping my current monitor.

My uses are :
- picture editing (Lightroom, photoshop)
- casual gaming (various games, including the latest SimCity which i want to be able to play at max resulotion and details).

So i'm looking for a reasonnable graphics card, which can handle this, with (optional) two monitor capacity.

My current specs :
- i7 first gen, 2.93 Mhz
- Gigabit GA P55A-UD3P motherboard
- XFX 5450 1Gb graphics card
- 8 GB Ram (DDR 3/1333)
- 128 SSD & 1TB HD
- Windows 7 Pro

I haven't followed the latest development in graphics cards...what can i get for my requirements, for 300 US max ?
