Hi Everyone!
I'll try to keep this short and sweet. Basically, I have been running the Passmark Benchmarking software from CPU Benchmark's website, and I have just noticed that my RAM is scoring extremely poorly when compared to other benchmarks of the same RAM. I have 16gb (4 x 4gb) Corsair Vengeance @ 1600mhz. A friend of mine has 8gb (2 x 4gb) of the same RAM and he is getting nearly twice the performance of mine. I don't understand it? Admittedly he is running an i7 2770k and I'm on an AMD 8350, but that shouldn't make that much of a difference should it? I should also point out that I am using an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Mobo, in case that means anything. I have enabled the RAM in the UEFI BIOS to run at 1600mhz, and I have checked to see that each stick is healthy, which they are. I am at a loss for what to do now. Please help!
I know its a long shot, but could a BIOS update be needed?
Thanks in advance for your help!
