CHA_FAN 1/2/3, PWR_FAN - Zalman Z9 Plus

I'm kind of confused and don't want to ruin my mobo, so someone please reassure/confirm me.

MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-LK
CASE: ZALMAN Z9 PLUS

NOTE** I don't have a graphics card..

The zalman comes with like 4 fans.. Do I need all of them running or do you think I'm just wasting power consumption as I'm not using it for gaming or it doesn't matter and will it be fine?

I have one of my front fans under my HDD running with nothing even there lol. So should I disconnect one of them and keep the rest?

ALSO, I have all of my chassis fans in the sockets: "CHA_FAN 1/2/3".. This is correct right and the right place to have them? Sorry I'm a noob lol. and the power supply is in the PWR_FAN.

So I have my CPU fan running, PSU fan running, CHA_1 (above CPU) running. CHA_2 side panel fan running, and CHA_3 front of tower fan below HDD running

oh and my temperature gauge which is outside of my tower does not work... any insight on that? I tried searching but i dont think anyone has ran into this problem mhm..
