also, I'll be getting the cheapest dvd drive i can and not crossfiring or upgrading anything for a while. is 550w enough or should i go 650w? i think 550 is enough but thoughts?

i just figure that since sapphire recommends a minimum of 500 for the card and eventually i'll be upgrading, the 650 can't hurt. plus there are some great sales going on now, thanks

Correct, a 650w won't hurt. Did that myself, needed 450-500w, got a 650.
Pointed out XFX550 as it is sufficient & usually 550's are less money than 650's.
