no gt 640 cannot match match hd 7750.

hd 7770 > hd 7750/gtx 650 > gt 640 ddr5 > hd 6670 ddr5 > gt 640 ddr3 > hd 6670 ddr3

No offense but i didn't believe you at first so i did research and turns out u are actually wrong, radeon 7750 is somewhat equal to the ddr3 version of gt 640 therefore i bileve the gt 640 gddr5 matches the performance of radoen 7770

http://www.hwcompare.com/13467/geforce-gtx-650-vs-radeo... that shows that gtx 650 beats the hd 7770, and the gt 640gdd5 when OC'ed is just a bit off the gtx 650, therefore matching the performance of the hd 7770

donot use hwcompare !.it shows results accordind to theoretical (on specs) see what they said " Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical"

see real world bench (big differnce)

no gt 640 cannot match match hd 7750.

hd 7770 > hd 7750/gtx 650 > gt 640 ddr5 > hd 6670 ddr5 > gt 640 ddr3 > hd 6670 ddr3

that website doesn't show the gddr5 version -_-

no ddr5 will not beat hd 7750.it will get ahead of hd 6670 but not hd 7750.

so now its your choice

The 650 and the 7750 are on the same performance level, but the 640 ddr5 may come close since its essentially a downclocked 650

The gt 640 will never match the hd 7750's performance! The hd 7750= gt 650 in terms of performance. The gt 640 is more of the hd 6670's rival. Plus the hd 7750 becomes faster for every driver update amd releases making the gap between the hd 7750 and gt 640 even larger.

How come alienware x51 performs so well?
March 24, 2013 10:29:25 AM

the 640 gddr5 sits between 6670 gddr5 and 7750 gddr5
March 24, 2013 10:30:14 AM

Haha no it doesn't, given its price its an utter piece of crap.

The 640 is a very slow card, its not really a gaming card, more designed for a media PC. The 7750 is undoubtedly faster.

i think $699 for that kind of computer is okay.... no idea why everybody calls it crap besides its garbage cpu, garbage graphics card, and garbage ram. lolzzzz okay crossing alienware x51 off my list, i should just build my own
