SOLVED: see update 2 for solution.

Just finished building my first computer today, Ive got a 128gb SSD with windows installed on it, and all is working fine with that. Just connected my 2tb Seagate Barracuda hard drive and nothing. BIOS sees it, using the Diskpart tool says that its there, but its not visible in windows explorer. Has anyone encountered this before?

Update: In searching for the drive, I ended up at my SSD' properties screen, under the hardware tab in the "all disk drives" section the HDD DOES appear, with the manufacturer as "(standard disk drives)" but I still cant get windows to recognize it as a storage drive.

Update 2: Found the tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0tq122ZiTY
That got me to the disk manager, whereupon it informed me that one of my disks had yet to be initialized, no bets on which one. Right clicked on the "unallocated" drive to create a simple volume, and viola, I have more storage than I should ever need.

Long Story Short: Solved it myself, If a wandering forum admin were to make this thread... disappear... I would thank you.
