Upgrade Help For 2550x1440p!

Hello,

I need help deciding between upgrading gpu first or getting a higher resolution monitor first.

My System includes: i5 2500k 4.8GHZ, 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ, GTX 570 SC EVGA...

Choice 1:
I'm currently running at 1080p with a 570 gtx. I want to upgrade to 2550x1440p monitor (preferably the Crossover 27Q on ebay). Should I go ahead and get monitor and just keep AA settings down in games with my current GPU? And wait for Nvidia 7xx release?

Choice 2:
Upgrade GPU now to 6xx series and get monitor?

I know the 570 can be troublesome past 1080p especially with 1.25GB ram limitor, but I also know the 7xx series isnt too far away is why I'm hesitant on dishing out for a new card now. Just want your guys input.

Without the use of AA, 1440p doesn't use much more vram than 1080p (about 20mb per buffer more). You shouldn't run into vram issues. However, it may still struggle on power. I suppose you could buy the monitor and assess the situation and buy if it is not good enough.

It's going to be about a year before the 700 series comes out.
