Top Case Fan Broken Wing

Hello Everyone,

I recently received help to build a new pc and recently got the final parts.
Today, I started to put everything together, but opening Arc Midi R2 side panel I found the fan which was not attached in its top position. I was able to put it back in, and it seems it won't fall out again easily. I believe this happened during shipping, but one of the wings of that same fan was broken. Should I keep going on with the build or should I halt the process?

I already contacted the company and am waiting for a response...

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to by "wing". Are you talking about one of the fan's mounting ears with bolt hole is cracked? Or are you referring to one of the fan blades?

I assume you mean one of the fan blades. If so, just take out the fan, it will run fine without the case fan.

If the company is respectable, they'll send you a replacement fan ASAP.

Pardon the confusion it was the fan blade, I got a new fan from the retailer.

Glad to hear it is resolved. If you would have tried to run the fan with a blade gone, it would have wobbled itself to death. And perhaps come apart and damaged something inside the case.
