Computer stuck on motherboard splash screen

I've recently built my computer, and until about a week ago (I built it early January) it will get stuck in the splash screen. I read somewhere that if you turn off the power supply and hit the power button on the computer, it will discharge stored electricity. I tried it and it works, but it's something I have to do every time I boot up my computer now. What could be the problem?

Take out the coin battery too.

Check your power supply. I got a power supply tester years ago and was one of the best investments i ever made. Over the years, I have had a couple of bad power supplied, and without a tester, they can be hard to detect as the problem.
