Please help - changing out graphics card - driver question

When switching out a graphics card for a new better one do I need to remove the currently installed drivers for the current graphics card first or can they be removed after the installation of the new card? I have a nVidia GT610 and am replacing with a AMD Powercolor HD 7770.
