Guys! Please help me decide on these two cards:

GTX 650 (non-Ti)
HD Sapphire 7770

Which of these two cards would perform better? I want to play heave games today on high settings and im using a 1024x768 monitor.. But please don't disregard the instance that i may upgrade my monitor resolution someday.. So please recommend a good pick that would fit my needs. Heave games, on high settings.. and would cope up with higher resolutions.. =)

ALso guys, im using a Intel Core i3.. Do you think there would be no conflicts if i use AMD GPU's? Because if ever i pick amd in this one, this would be my first time to use amd..

Also my mobo is this: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61M_LE/

Would it physically fit in my mobo? Because im worried of because of this, please see the picture.. See the one i circled..

But right now, ive used that GPU slot with GT 220.. and im not sure if hd sapphire 7770 would fit in that slot..

Thanks alot guys.. hope to find answers..

Well to answer your first question I would have to say that hd 7770 is much much better than the gt 650. Though I am a Nvidia man myself :D , I would suggest you to go with the hd 7770. Also, it can be on par with a gt 650 ti with a little OC.

Well, thank you.. It seems that im pretty convinced that 7770 is more powerful than 650.. Now, please answer my other questions please.. =)

7770 win by a little but they are both for 720p gaming, If you plan for monitor upgrade then get a Hd 7850 or GTX 650 TI . I don't think you ll have problem with that mobo & i3 isn't meant for gaming , If you plan on upgrade get the i5 3570k because games nowadays loves cores & cpu intensive .GL :)

Hi bud, thanks for the input.. Yeah, i know my CPU is pretty weak but could cope up as well.. And as for now, my budget only fits for 7770 or 650.. My main concern is, would 7770 physically fit in my mobo.. Im really doubting..=(

Well, said to the guy at top.. Yeah, im pretty sure my i3 runs games at high im just limited with my video card right now..

Hey buy, take a look at this.. This is my mobo and this card fitted in here is gt 220.. Do you think if i replace this gt 220 with 7770 the 7770 would physically fit in here? It seems sapphire 7770 is too big..

measure with tape and see

size of hd 7770 - 210(L)x110(W)x43(H) mm Size.

I said i3 isn't meant for gaming but if your ok with low-mid setting Gameplay then you are fine , yes hd 7770 will fit well

I Don't think you will have a problem in fitting the hd 7770. These cards are pretty small nowadays. But to be sure you can measure the size of the slot with a tape and compare it with the card.

And yes i3 is ok for mid level gaming. BTW which i3 are you having????? (which architecture ???)

i3 can handle every game at minimum high settings.forget about low and med.it is a dual core + hypertreating means it will act like quad core as some games use it.see the benchs it has performed neck to neck with i5 in most games!

Some games use hyperthreading but not all games use it. Moreover performance depends on which i3 he is using. Sandybridge or Ivybridge i3s will be much better than the 1st gen i3s. In some games like skyrim and crysis 3 his card can be bottlenecked by a 1st gen i3.

Oh sorry:??: ......I didn't see the chipset of his mobo........and yes a sandy or ivy i3 would be more than enough for all the games for now.

Hi guys.. Thank you for all your inputs.. Seeing your inputs about my upcoming upgrade makes me confident this would be right.. Thank you very much.. But im not really so sure if 7770 fits in my board.. I measured it.. the video card will pass through my motherboard chipset heatsink.. But i dont know if it will hit the heat sink, or pass through the heatsink above.. Im not really so sure..

If the hd 7770 doesn't fit then you can try a gtx 650ti. It is much smaller than a hd 7770.

Is there a software or website which could check what models of GPU i could install in a motherboard? (just thinking maybe theres one)

Also, what is disadvantage of amd radeon gpu's to nvidia? Some say amd are so buggy.. and unstable video cards.. compared to nvidia.. and im not so sure because i have been using nvidia since i used computers so this would be my first time as an amd user. Please clarify to those who uses amd ..
