Dont know which ports to connect my SSD and HDD into

Building my first rig, have a gigabyte udh3 motherboard, samsung pro 830 240SSD and 1TB HDD. Need a little help in which SATA ports to connect them to and what order.

I was unable to find a Gigabyte UDH3 motherboard, do you mean UD3H? And is it the Intel or AMD model? Either way, I would consult the manual that came with the motherboard. The included manual should give you information on which SATA ports are 6GB/s and 3GB/s. Your HDD and SSD should not need to be plugged in any specific order, but if the are both SATA 6GB/s, I would utilize those ports.

UD3H is the second part of the Gigabyte motherboard model number. What is the complete model number?

Connect your SSD to one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA3_0 or SATA3_1).
Connect your HDD to one of the Intel 3Gb/s ports (SATA2_2 thru SATA2_4).

When installing your O/S on your SSD leave your HDD disconnected until installation is complete.
